What does the collective imaginary tell us about certain music and dances? How can we reclaim and dialogue from the corporal? How can we generate spaces of encounter and collectivity through art?

De cos i veu (Of Body and Voice) is a round table that reflects on post-colonialism, memory and public space. With the help of some of the speakers from the cycles Balls, músiques i resistències (Dances, music and resistances) of Espai Avinyó and Estar, ballar, 3,4 (Be, dance, 3,4) of Bornlab, the community mediation programme of Born CCM, we will share ideas that connect the diasporic fact and expressions linked to dance and memory, we will think about the ways in which these expressions can occupy squares, streets and public infrastructures in terms of critical artistic practices, and we will investigate the memories of resistance that are transmitted through them.

This activity is curated and produced by Avinyó Language and Culture Space (EALC) and Bornlab, the community mediation programme of El Born Centre of Culture and Memory (Born CCM).
