Architecture is the scenography of our lives. It is part of us, every person. It conditions us and challenges us. It inspires us and moves us. It reflects the world around us, the society we are creating and, at the same time, it projects alternative scenarios.

Architecture is culture, it is heritage, sometimes even art. But above all, it must be functional. It must provide a service to society as a whole in order to improve its quality of life. What makes a building, a space, give or take away people's dignity? Can architecture bring us happiness? How can we offer the best architecture and bring it closer to society?

Through the dialogue between two great architects who have paved the way, we will ask ourselves these questions. Carme Pinós has just been awarded the National Architecture Prize for her career and creative capacity. In 1991, she founded her own studio in a field in which women were an exception and, after many obstacles and much perseverance, she has become one of our most recognised architects in the world. Tatiana Bilbao is the most international Mexican architect. She leads her studio with the aim of integrating social values, collaboration and sensitive design approaches into architectural work.
