Professor in the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Barcelona (UB) and researcher at the Institute of Complex Systems of the University of Barcelona (UBICS).

Creator of OpenSystems UB, a group that implements scientific research projects through citizen participation and artistic practices. He currently coordinates the European CoAct project, from which CoActuem per la Salut Mental is being developed, which deals with support networks in mental health and where a chatbot has been developed as a research tool.

In 2012, he founded the Barcelona Citizen Science Office of the Barcelona City Council and coordinated it until 2019.
