Lucía Payero

Professor

She is Assistant Professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of Oviedo (UO) and, previously, at the University of Granada (UGR). She holds a PhD in Law with international honours from the University of Oviedo. Her main lines of research revolve around the right to self-determination of peoples, nationalism, federalism, territorial conflict resolution and immigration, subjects on which she has published numerous works in prestigious international and national journals and publishers.

She is a member of the accredited research group on Philosophy and Legal Argumentation FILARJU (University of Oviedo) and of the Édouard Lambert research group on Comparative Legal History (University of Seville). She has also participated as an academic expert in the drafting of the report Bases para la elaboración de un Código de Buenas Prácticas en la Resolución de Conflictos Territoriales de Soberanía, coordinated by Eusko Ikaskuntza-Sociedad de Estudios Vascos and the Institute of Catalan Studies.
