Pedro Olalla

Writer, translator, filmmaker and teacher

His numerous literary and audiovisual works explore and focus on Greek and humanistic culture, combining literary, plastic and scientific elements through a very personal language. His books include Palabras del Egeo (2022), Historia menor de Grecia (2012), Grecia en el aire (2015) and De senectute politica (2018), all published by Acantilado. Other reference works include Atlas mitológico de Grecia (Lynx Edicions, 2002) and Nuevo Diccionario Griego-Español (Texto, 2011). 

In parallel to his writing and audiovisual creation, he has worked as a teacher, researcher and lecturer in collaboration with numerous institutions in different countries around the world. For his work as a whole and for his work to promote Greek culture, he has received, among other important awards, the titles of Ambassador of Hellenism in Greece, Knight of the Order of Civil Merit in Spain and Associate Member of the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University.
