He is a scientist and populariser with a degree in Physics and Mathematics and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). He works as a scientific researcher at the Institute of Marine Sciences of the CSIC (ICM-CSIC), in Barcelona. He is a regular columnist in several media and author of Un futuro sin más (2013), Petrocalipsis (2020) and El otoño de la civilización (2022), together with Juan Bordera.
