The third Biennial of Thought has come to an end, and has done so with a great power of convocation. The 2022 Biennial has been the Biennial of the absolute return to face-to-face experience, after a 2020 edition conditioned by the health restrictions derived from the pandemic. It has also been the Biennial of the alliance with Palma and Valencia, two cities with which Barcelona has shared a joint edition that has highlighted the ties that articulate a shared cultural space.

And all those people? You can't imagine it when a few minutes earlier you come across a group of peripatetics in the Plaça del Diamant, but Virreina is already full. Have all these people come attracted by the emerging voices of Layla Martínez and Eudald Espluga, or because they feel that the finiteness of the world is piercing their daily experience?

It's midday on Saturday. There must be few of us who, after listening to the texts of Gabriel Ferrater, Joan Fuster and Blai Bonet, don't have a big "yes" in our heads. Because it's hard to think that no, that, after being soaked by their torrent of lucidity and sensitivity, we won't stroll through the sunny streets of Gràcia with our eyebrows clear, receptive to all latent life. Poetry is the can opener of thought, thinks the chronicler, the hoe that prepares the fertile soil.

It is well known that Aristotle used to relax his muscles and reason by strolling outside the Lyceum in Athens. Today we have been invited to do the same in the streets of Sant Andreu, discussing the idea of metamorphosis. As a space that has undergone multiple transformations, the chronicler thinks, the Canòdrom is a good starting point. "Our cells die and are renewed every ten years. Can everything be transformed?", asks the guide to the ten or so peripatetics who are about to set off on their journey. Doubt is the driving force at our feet.
