Carmen Rodríguez
Art historian, researcher and lecturer in Architecture
She is an associate lecturer in the Department of Architectural Composition at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (UPC) and, since 1999, has taught on the Master’s Degree in Design and Production of Spaces (UPC School-CCCB). Her research focuses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century architecture, the history of museums and exhibition spaces, and urban and domestic culture.
She is co-author of Grup R (1994), Les vivendes del Congrés Eucarístic de Barcelona: 1952-1962 (2011), El teixit residencial en la formació de la metròpolis moderna: el cas de Barcelona. 1840-1936 (2013–2015) and Topología del espacio urbano: palabras, imágenes y experiencias que definen la ciudad (2014).
She curated Grup R. Una revisió de la modernitat (CCCB, 1997) and worked as a researcher on J. Puig i Cadafalch. L’arquitectura entre la casa i la ciutat (1989–1990) and Univers Gaudí (CCCB, 2002). She is a member of the ‘Arquitectura, Ciutat i Cultura’ research group (SGR-AGAUR).
