Following a distinguished career as a footballer, Lilian Thuram has established himself as one of Europe's leading public anti-racist voices. Through the Lilian Thuram Foundation and works such as El pensamiento blanco (La Pensée blanche, 2020), he has developed a body of work focused on education, colonial memory and racial inequalities. His thinking examines how skin colour functions as a cultural and political norm, structuring forms of privilege, hierarchy and exclusion. From this perspective, he connects racism, colonialism, representation and power, and proposes a critical reading of the narratives that have historically shaped European and Western identity. He has participated in numerous international forums and debates on discrimination, colonial history and human rights.
