With increasing intensity, the world we come from has revealed itself to be fragile, temporary and unsustainable. Under the theme "The day after everything", the fourth edition of the Biennial of Thought set out to reflect on the future in a context of rapid global change.
We live in a world where change is advancing rapidly in every direction. The Biennial of Thought 2022 offered a moment to pause and reflect together. For the first time, Palma and Valencia joined the Biennial in a strategic alliance in support of thought and culture, highlighting the Mediterranean connection.
The second edition of the Biennial of Thought, marked by the pandemic, reflected on futures, democracy, technology and the city. An opportunity to analyse the impact of climate, social and economic challenges and to imagine together a better future.
The first edition of the Biennial of Thought - Open City turned Barcelona into an international venue for dialogue between expert voices from around the world and citizens. An event in which more than 20,000 people participated.
