Ana Prieto Nadal

Theatre critic, performing arts researcher and lecturer

She holds a degree in Classical Philology and a PhD in Spanish and Spanish-American Literature and Theatre in the European Context. She coordinates the performing arts section of Compàs d’amalgama and is a member of the editorial board of Αέρηδες/Torre dels Vents. She writes theatre criticism for Núvol and Recomana, among other publications, and is a jury member for the Premis de la Crítica de les Arts Escèniques and the Premi Memorial Margarida Xirgu, as well as a member of Eurodram’s Catalan committee.

She has published numerous articles in specialist journals and the monograph El teatro de Lluïsa Cunillé (Esperpento, 2016), based on her doctoral thesis, which received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. In the literary field, she received RNE’s El Ojo Crítico Narrative Award for La matriz y la sombra (Acantilado, 2002) and has published short stories in several anthologies.
