Motherhood, contemporary culture and the contradictions of the present run through Begoña Gómez Urzaiz’s work as a journalist and writer. She lives in Barcelona and regularly writes for La Vanguardia. Together with Noelia Ramírez, she also co-hosts the podcast Amiga date cuenta on Radio Primavera Sound and contributes to the RAC1 programme Vostè primer. She is the author of Las abandonadoras (2022), a hybrid essay exploring the light and dark sides of motherhood, which has been translated into English, French, Portuguese, German and Polish.
