What is success? What does it mean to fail? What strategies can we use to dismantle the trio of success, identity and love? Is failure a privileged space in which to come together?
At some point in the twenty-first century, the idea of selling out —to capital, to the system, to the gold standard— lost the negative connotations it once carried, back when authenticity, however problematic, still counted for something. Today, we need to invent new ways of questioning success and, above all, find ways to inhabit failure, proudly if necessary.
Noèlia Ramírez and Begoña Gómez Urzaiz, the hosts of Amiga date cuenta, take on the challenge alongside thinker and poet Juanpe Sánchez López, whose Gran manual del fracaso. Desmontar el éxito, la identidad y el amor (Anagrama) will be published in September.
A live podcast that ultimately celebrates the territory of possibility that defeat can offer.
This activity has been curated in collaboration with Ràdio Primavera Sound.
Session with simultaneous interpretation.
