Begonya Saez Tajafuerce

Contemporary identity, the body and feminist approaches are at the heart of Begonya Saez Tajafuerce’s research. A lecturer in Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, she has been researching contemporary approaches to identity since 2001 and, since 2005, has been a researcher with the Cos i Textualitat group, based at the same university. Her work focuses on feminist approaches to the body from a relational perspective, with epistemological, ethical and political concerns, and particular attention to gender, sexuality and queer studies. Her publications include Representación fronteriza de la memoria histórica de las mujeres (2011), Debats: Un corpus para el cuerpo (2013), which she edited, Cuerpo, memoria y representación: Adriana Cavarero y Judith Butler en diálogo (2014) and ‘Figurando el estatuto ontológico de la diferencia sexual un peu partout’ (2025).
