Director of the Observatori de la Urbanització at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and lecturer at the Università IUAV di Venezia. He has received several awards, including the prize for the best doctoral thesis addressing human values in engineering (UPC, 2004) and the Bonaplata Prize for the exhibition La fàbrica de la llum, on the Sant Adrià de Besòs thermal power station (2014).

He has curated exhibitions including Local, local! La ciutat que ve (CCCB, 2010) and Architectures on the Waterfront (Fundació Mies van der Rohe, 2019), and was a member of the advisory board for Any Cerdà (2010). He also served as an adviser to the exhibition Subúrbia. La construcció del somni americà (CCCB, 2024).

He has published books on the global transformation of urban landscapes, including urBANALització: Paisatges Comuns, Llocs Globals (2008) and Estratègies vers la ciutat de baixa densitat: de la contenció a la gestió (2011).
