Judit Carrera
Political scientist, cultural manager and director of the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona
She holds a degree in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Diploma of Advanced Studies from Sciences Po in Paris. She worked at UNESCO’s Office of Analysis and Foresight and, before becoming director of the CCCB, led its programme of thought and debate.
With more than twenty-five years of experience in culture and international relations, she has developed European projects and collaborated with institutions including the Centre Pompidou, Open Society Foundations, the British Academy, the London School of Economics, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, ICREA and PEN Català. She has given lectures at Bard College, the Venice Biennale, the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and other international institutions. In 2022, she received the Setmana del Llibre en Català’s Premi Difusió and was appointed Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.
