Born out of the century-old Bernat Metge collection, La Casa dels Clàssics is an institution dedicated to promoting classical thought and literature. Its work draws on the legacy of ancient texts, bringing them into dialogue with contemporary cultural, social and political debates. With extensive experience in cultural mediation projects aimed at both young and adult audiences, it develops activities that bring the classics into new languages, formats and reading contexts. Its initiatives include the Festival Clàssics d’Arts Contemporànies i Pensament, which it organises every year as a meeting point for classical tradition, contemporary creativity and critical thought.
