Working across theatre, performance and collective experimentation, Las Huecas use error, chaos and instability as creative materials. The collective began its journey in 2016 and has since created numerous stage works, performative explorations and all kinds of wild experiments, including punk demos, happenings and parties. Their practice is based on rotating leadership, placing ideas, bodies and imagination at the service of the stage and its mysteries. In doing so, they create an aesthetic that is difficult to define, which they themselves call the “aesthetics of permanent withdrawal”: an unstable way of performing themselves that embraces the error and chaos of the present as a methodology.
