Fiction, essays and poetry run through the work of Marta Sanz, who holds a PhD in Philology and has an extensive and acclaimed literary career. She has published novels, short stories, essays and poetry collections, with writing that pays close attention to the body, politics, culture and contemporary forms of representation. Her novels include Los mejores tiempos, winner of the Premio Ojo Crítico; Susana y los viejos, a finalist for the Premio Nadal; Daniela Astor y la caja negra, winner of the Tigre Juan, Cálamo-Otra Mirada and Estado Crítico awards; Farándula, winner of the Premio Herralde; Clavícula; and Persianas metálicas bajan de golpe. Her collected poetry appears in Corpórea, while her poetry collection Vintage received the Premio de la Crítica de Madrid. She is also the author of the essays No tan incendiario, Monstruas y centauras and Enciclopedia secreta. She contributes to El País and Cadena SER and teaches at the Escuela de Escritores. Her latest books are Los íntimos and Amarilla.
