Myriam Mallart

PhD in French Philology and lecturer in Francophone literature

She teaches on the Master’s Degree in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities (CRIC) at the University of Barcelona and is a researcher at ADHUC—Research Centre for Theory, Gender, Sexuality, where she participates in the project ‘Gender, Image and Materiality in the Literary Culture of Modernity (1880s–1930s)’.

Her main areas of expertise are modern and contemporary French literature and contemporary literature from sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on theatre, ecofeminism and the writing of history from a decolonial perspective. She has published several articles and book chapters on these subjects, including work on Philippe Soupault, Senegalese women playwrights and the work of Léonora Miano.
