Omri Boehm
Philosopher and university professor
Professor at The New School for Social Research in New York, he specialises in political philosophy and ethics, with a particular interest in the philosophy of Spinoza and Kant and the legacy of the European Enlightenment. He is the author of several essays, including Universalismo radical: más allá de la identidad (Taurus, 2025), in which he advocates a renewed conception of universalism centred on human dignity, and Haifa Republic: A Democratic Future for Israel (New York Review of Books, 2021), in which he rethinks the political future of Palestine from a philosophical perspective.
Born in Israel and descended from exiled German Jews, he has been an outspoken critic of the Israeli government and the manipulation of narratives about the Holocaust. He regularly contributes to publications such as Haaretz and Die Zeit and has received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize for European Understanding.
