Fiction, poetry and a perspective shaped by fragility, desire and the end of the world run through Pol Guasch’s work. Born in Tarragona in 1997, he is the author of Napalm al cor, winner of the 2021 Llibres Anagrama Novel Prize, an internationally translated and acclaimed work that The New Yorker selected as one of the best books of 2024. He has also published the novel Ofert a les mans, el paradís crema, described by Alana S. Portero as ‘a beautiful story against a bleak backdrop’ and ‘a wonderful book that carries the hope of friendship to the end of the world’. As a poet, he has written the collections Tanta gana, winner of the 2018 Francesc Garriga Prize, and La part del foc, winner of the 2021 López-Picó Prize. His work has been translated into thirteen languages. His latest book is Relíquia.
