Sahai is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law and Research Fellow at the Centre for Justice, Law and Society at Jindal Global Law School (India). They are currently interested in studying feeling, imagination and narratives of living beside the law, sex and the tender knots of sociality. Sahai has previously taught at Ambedkar University, Delhi, at the School of Development Studies and the Department of Gender Studies. They have been a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Law and Policy Research, Bengaluru, and a consultant at the Advanced Centre for Women's Studies, TISS, Mumbai, on a project studying discrimination against non-normative genders and sexualities. In 2024-2025, Sahai was the Law and Justice Scholar at the Centre for Justice, Law and Society, JGU. They hold a postgraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi. Besides their academic commitments, Sahai raises awareness of gender issues on social media.
