Vivi Alfonsín
Writer and anti-racist activist
Cuban writer and activist for migrants’ rights. She is the author of the novels Ningún otro infierno te espera (2026) and Mundo Zurdo (2023), the essay Violence and Death on the Frontiers (2025), and the plays Kleopatra o Infirmitas Sexus and Aguas Grises. Her research explores racism and institutional violence in contexts of war, prisons and borders.
She is currently working on a play about human safaris in Sarajevo (Fundación SGAE) and a novel exploring the links between deindustrialisation, racism and police violence (Beca Montserrat Roig), as well as promoting Palestinian literature through seminars and workshops. She is a member of Movimiento Regularización Ya and contributes to media outlets and contemporary thought journals, analysing the European Pact on Migration and Asylum and the violence of migration policies.
