He is Professor of Political Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where he has focused his research on the conceptual universe of democracy and liberalism. He has published Laicidad europea and La fe en la ciudad secular. He has translated works by Nietzsche, Habermas, Scheler, Butler and Croce, among others. He writes regularly for Ara and Cultura/s, La Vanguardia.
