Critical thought, political philosophy and reflection on contemporary ways of life run through Marina Garcés’s work. A philosopher and university lecturer, she is the author of an extensive body of essays that has featured prominently in cultural debates in recent years. Her books include Un mundo común (2012), Filosofía inacabada (2015), Fuera de clase (2016), Nueva ilustración radical (2017), which received the 2017 City of Barcelona Essay Prize, Ciudad Princesa (2018), Escuela de aprendices (2020), Malas compañías (2022) and La pasión de los extraños (2025). Since 2002, she has also led Espai en Blanc, a collective thought project working at the intersection of philosophy, politics and cultural experimentation.
