Where does the city begin and end? What human cartographies allow us to map ways of life that go beyond the official narrative? How can we tell stories from the margins without reducing them to marginality?

Drawing on his latest work, Historias del buen valle, José Luis Guerín offers a perspective on Barcelona shaped by its boundaries, its transitional spaces and the stories that often remain out of view. His approach to filmmaking, attentive to everyday gestures, anonymous voices and the blurred boundaries between reality and fiction, opens up a reflection on how the city is changing and which narratives can help us understand it beyond its official images.

In this lecture and dialogue, the filmmaker will share the discoveries, questions and tensions that have shaped this creative process, inviting us to think about Barcelona through a more human, porous and unexpected cartography.

Free admission.
