How can we “breathe together” in a system that operates as a machine for producing identities? What forms of dissent can we imagine that escape radical individualisation and mass hyperconnectivity? How can we make room for laughter and irony in a context that seems to invite only tragedy and drama?

Inés Garcia and Bernat Castany share an intellectual trajectory shaped by an interest in the narratives, ideas and frameworks through which we interpret reality. A translator and lecturer, Garcia has devoted much of her work to the study and dissemination of contemporary thought and psychoanalysis, while Castany, an essayist and lecturer, has written extensively on scepticism, fiction, humour and the mechanisms through which knowledge is constructed. From complementary perspectives, they both explore the narratives that shape our understanding of the world and the ways in which these influence collective life.
