Journalist Miquel Ramos, researcher Youssef M. Ouled and communicator and journalist Montse Santolino reflect on the narrative, political and cultural strategies through which the far right seeks to shape common sense, and on the challenges facing the movements that stand up to it.

The far right is not advancing only within institutions. It also contests collective imaginaries and emotions, redefines the terms of public debate and transforms the way we interpret issues such as migration, security, housing and social inequalities. How does it manage to turn certain fears and grievances into political support? What narratives, language and strategies does it use to expand its influence?

In this session of CRÍTIC’s Escola de Pensament, Youssef M. Ouled, Miquel Ramos and Montse Santolino analyse contemporary forms of racism, hate speech and the media construction of otherness, as well as the role of anti-fascism, social movements and journalism in the struggle to shape common sense.

Free admission. Limited capacity. Admission will be prioritised on a first-come, first-served basis.
