What prejudices do older people face? And younger people? How does age shape our opportunities, rights and the ways we relate to one another?
Choreographer Sol Picó and writer Montse Barderi discuss generations, stereotypes and coexistence in a session introduced by cultural manager and video essayist Alba Lafarga, with a presentation exploring how popular culture portrays what it means to be old and what it means to be young.
This activity launches Argumenta, a series that promotes critical and shared thinking and takes place in Barcelona's civic centres. The pressing questions of our time take shape in the city's neighbourhoods through a programme that brings together voices from the worlds of thought, creativity and activism. Collectively and through a range of formats, we will explore issues such as ageism, geopolitics, urban planning and the far right.
Free admission. Limited capacity.
