The 2026 European Prize for Urban Public Space reaches its culmination with the award ceremony.

The European Prize for Urban Public Space is a unique CCCB initiative in Europe that aims to recognise outstanding urban transformation projects in European cities. Rather than focusing on large-scale urban developments, the Prize highlights interventions in urban acupuncture —whether large or small— that seek, above all, to improve citizens’ living conditions and the democratic quality of cities. This thirteenth edition received almost 400 entries from 38 countries, assessed by an international jury comprising Angelika Fitz (Austria), Monika Konrad (Poland), Inês Lobo (Portugal), Bas Smets (Belgium) and Philip Ursprung (Switzerland).

The Prize reflects the central importance of issues such as climate change, mobility, inequalities and migration, and has become an observatory of best practices that helps us consider possible solutions for a future in which cities will play a crucial role in shaping the evolution of society.

At the Prize award ceremony, hosted by journalist Carolina Rosich, the winning project will be announced and the current edition will be reviewed. The ceremony will be preceded by a conversation with Rafael Moneo, former chair of the Prize jury, and will conclude with drinks for attendees.

The ceremony will also be streamed live at www.publicspace.org.

Session with simultaneous interpretation.

Free admission. Limited capacity.
