Artist Maria Jaume evokes the spirit of traditional festivals and community life in a musical session at Plaça Coromines, where she will present a preview of her new repertoire in an intimate performance blending contemporary pop, electronic music and Mallorcan folk tradition.
To close the opening day of the Biennial of Thought, singer-songwriter Maria Jaume presents a selection from her two latest works, a celebration of the roots and landscapes of her native Mallorca, now profoundly transformed by the effects of overtourism. In Santo Domingo Forever (2026), Jaume takes us to the streets and squares of her hometown to defend culture and public space as places of encounter, memory and community building. In Nostàlgia Airlines (2024), the so-called atmospheric Balearic sound merges with ironic, critical lyrics addressing the impact of mass tourism on the island and the need to reclaim shared spaces.
